The sixth-annual Blackened Canteen peace and reconciliation ceremony was held Tuesday at the USS Arizona Memorial with, from left, Shiro Wakita, World War II Japanese navy pilot; Dr. Hiroya Sugano, director general of the Zero Fighter Admirers Club; Jack DeTour, former Army colonel and World War II B-25 bomber pilot; and Jerry Yellin, former Army captain and World War II P-51 fighter pilot, pouring bourbon whiskey into the harbor.
