Man found in dump truck on H-1 died from suicidal fall, examiner says
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the man whose body was found Friday in the bed of a dump truck on the H-1 Freeway died from head injuries due to a suicidal fall from a height.
The man was identified as 30-year-old Alvin Dela Cruz.
A police department spokeswoman said the man was spotted on the Gulick Street overpass before the fall.

So what exactly happened? Did he jump and land in the bed of a passing dump truck?
My guess is that the dump truck driver did the responsible thing and continued to drive (after the THUMP) to an area where he could pull over (Fort Shafter exit). And then he ran like heck.
The truck driver no doubt is upset about a horrible event, your making fun of the situation is pathetic.
Condolences to the Dela Cruz ohana, and healing thoughts to the driver.
Thank you, Sir.
he swan dived off the gulick over pass into onto the truck bed, very little splatter…..
Pgkept, is it necessary for you to be so uncaring?
It is a sad situation when someone feels the solution to their problem is through suicide. Condolences to his family.
I certainly hope that no one who you love ever decides that suicide is their only way out. Making light of this man’s tragic end is shamelessly crass.
Condolences to Alvin’s ohana.
