In the film, a family opens an Indian restaurant across the way from a famed French restaurant, setting off a rivalry that challenges both sets of culinary traditions.
The menu comprises pakora (beer-battered fried cauliflower), chicken crepe and ratatouille with a cocktail, beer or glass of wine. Dinner is at 6 p.m., followed by the movie. Afterward, dessert will be served at Cake Envy. The package is $50: 524-2337, palatecraftandeatery.com.

The Pig & the Lady offers dinner with the movie “Chocolat,” which screens at 8 p.m. The four-course meal, served 5 to 7:30 p.m., centers on a roast quail entree. A chocolate flambe dessert titled “Forgive Me Jesus, for I Have Eaten All Your Chocolate” will be served at the restaurant. Cost is $55, or $75, including a second dessert after the movie at Cake Envy: 585-8255, thepigandthelady.com.

On Sunday Fete’s ode to “Like Water for Chocolate” includes churros with cinnamon and chocolate sauce, Mexican lasagna as the main course, and cheese flan with strawberries, raspberries and orange supremes for dessert, for a fixed price of $45, which includes the 2 p.m. screening.
