Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band will make a first appearance in Hawaii on Nov. 8, with a concert at Blaisdell Arena.
A Hawaii residents-only presale for the concert begins at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Aug. 20.
Tickets, priced at $59.50, $89.50, $125 and $175, will be available via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000, at the Blaisdell Center box office and at Ticketmaster outlets. To purchase tickets during the Hawaii residents-only presale, a credit card with billing address in Hawaii must be used.
Starr was the drummer for the Beatles, the foremost group of the rock ’n’ roll era, from 1962 until the group disbanded in 1970. After the breakup, he forged a solo career, with U.S. top 10 hits including “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Photograph” and “You’re Sixteen.” He has toured with the All Starr Band since 1989.
In an interview published Aug. 4, the musician told Bloomberg Businessweek that he believes the Beatles would have reunited, in time. “We would have gotten over our difficulties and gotten on the road again,” Starr said. He also told Bloomberg, “I’m always touring.”
The Honolulu concert, presented by Elite Entertainment and Invictus Entertainment Group, follows dates on the West Coast and in Japan and South Korea.
After the Honolulu show, the All Starr Band — guitarist Steve Lukather (Toto), multi-instrumentalist Todd Rundgren, keyboardist Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey), bassist Richard Page (Mr. Mister), percussionist Gregg Bissonette (ELO) and saxophonist Warren Ham (Bloodrock, Kansas, AD) — will return to the U.S. West for shows in California, Nevada and Arizona.
