Police search for suspect in Waikiki robbery
Police are looking for a man who threatened and robbed two people early Tuesday morning who were sitting on the steps to Waikiki Beach.
Police said the couple told police they were on the steps leading to the beach at 4 a.m. when and a man threatened them with a knife.
The suspect took the purse of a 29-year-old female and fled.
The case has been classified as a first-degree robbery.
Police did not release a description of the suspect or exact location of the incident.

Probably the same reason they didn’t release the exact location of the incident.
HPD will ask for public’s help next month, or later.
Yeah, I’d have to say you’re probably right.
It’s politically correct in not doing so at this time. They’d have to use descriptions that would cast a general race or gender of the supposed criminal. Now, you don’t want to create any racial stereotyping here.
