Flash flood warning issued for Maui
A flash flood warning has been issued for the south side of Maui from Kaupo to Maalaea, as the county and state prepare for an anticipate 10 inches of rain in the next 12 hours, Maui County spokesman Rod Antone said.
The warning is in effect until 12:15 p.m.
A tree has fallen on Piiholo Road in Upcountry Maui, and about 100 residents in Piiholo are without power, he said.
Traffic signals are out at various intersections in Kahului, and a couple of flights involving Mokulele Airlines and Ohana Air have been canceled, Antone said.
In Kipahulu, the pools of `Ohe`o will remain closed due to extremely high water, flash floods, and rock falls, according to the Haleakala National Park service.

SA should proof read the first paragraph. SA has more spelling and grammatical errors than any paper I read.
