What else is new in the nei? Happens more often than not. Grow up in culture where brawn is revered?

And, respect for the law is not.

My colleagues and I welcome that “brawn, stick your chest out” macho mentality to come to our home state of Texas. Where we live, “15 rounds in a magazine” are revered more than some tattooed, muscle bound hick who sticks his chest out when he walks down the sidewalk.

Law Enforcement is a thankless job with scum they have to deal with on a daily basis.

Not too smart assaulting a cop….could have ended up in intensive care or the morgue…..

  8. Watcher says:

HPD demonstrates great restraint in dealing with typical combative cases.
The assaulter would not have well in may other police jurisdictions.

  9. Blunt says:

I guess they train rookies never to retaliate when assaulted physically., but you can use stun guns. You cannot shoot to kill unless they attempt to kill you first. They must get first crack. Very confusing to checklist all procedures you learned in training when you are actually in the heat of the event before you. Young Filipino cops are very sensitive and get overemotional and cry. Must be hard not to hit back.
