No matter the age, however, Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu invites all to its birthday on Tuesday with a ’70s-themed party, cake, balloons for the kids, gifts with purchase and specially priced burgers.

Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first Hard Rock Cafe in London on June 14, 1971, and it became the foundation for a global brand.
Music legend Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in the place, a converted Rolls-Royce showroom, giving Tigrett and Morton the inspiration to combine music, memorabilia and food to tie the concept together.
There are now 164 Hard Rock Cafes, 23 hotels and 11 casinos bearing the brand name in 68 countries.
Hard Rock International hosted more than 31,000 live music events in 2015.
