Two homeless men made their initial District Court appearance Monday after they and three juvenile males allegedly assaulted three men in Waikiki early Saturday morning.
Victor Kuresa, 20, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor third-degree assault and harassment, a petty misdemeanor. His bail was set at $2,000.
Manu Charles, 20, also was charged Sunday with misdemeanor third-degree assault. His bail was set at $3,000.
The three teenage boys, two of them 16 years old and the third 17 years old, were turned over to Family Court where they face second-degree robbery, second-degree theft and assault charges.
Kuresa also had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and second-degree robbery, but those charges were later dropped.
The incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Seaside Avenue.

Not too many good things happen at 3:30am in the shadows of Seaside Ave.
Another example of probably healthy, lazy people who are homeless and preying on the good citizens of Honolulu. The more free support the good people provide, the more these lazy bums take legally or otherwise.
No help for the lazy. Give help in exchange for work, like sweeping the streets and cleaning the beaches .
