David Crosby, who rose to fame as an original member of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, will appear in concert at the Blue Note Hawaii on July 2 and 3, at the Honokaa People’s Theater on Hawaii island July 8, at Castle Theater on Maui July 9 and at the Kauai Beach Hotel Jasmine Ballroom July 10. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

The California singer-songwriter’s 1968 debut album with Crosby, Stills, & Nash, including Crosby-penned tracks “Guinnevere” and “Wooden Ships,” won a Grammy for Best New Artist, and his collaboration with the group continues to the present day.

As part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he appeared at the Woodstock Festival in 1969, in a performance preserved in the widely seen film about the festival.

CSN&Y broke apart and regrouped throughout the ’70s and early ’80s, in different permutations. As Crosby, Stills & Nash, the trio released “CSN” in 1977 and “Daylight” in 1982. Feuding comments between the artists were often publicized in the music press.

As a solo artist, Crosby debuted with the 1971 album “If Only I Could Remember My Name.” His most recent release is 2014’s “Croz,” his first solo album of studio material in 20 years.

He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, for his work with the Byrds and with Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Tickets for the Blue Note Hawaii concerts, $85, are available via ticketweb.com or by calling 777-4890. Get Honokaa theater tickets, $75-$85, and Kauai tickets, $70-$80, at ghostfingerproductions.com. Get Castle Theater tickets, $50-$65, at mauiarts.org/tickets.
