Police charged a 20-year-old man with multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with a May 17 incident in which the man allegedly drove a vehicle through a group of teenagers in Ewa Beach.
An 18-year-old woman was critically injured in the incident.
Malik Morton turned himself in to police on May 19. He was charged Saturday with first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, and first-degree terroristic threatening.
His bail was set at $1 million.
Moped driver hurt in Hawaii Kai crash
Paramedics treated and transported a 24-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition early Friday morning after he lost control of the moped he was driving and hit a curb on Kalanianaole Highway in Hawaii Kai.
Police said the driver was traveling east on Kalanianaole Highway when he lost control of his moped and hit the medial curb at Kawaihae Street.
The victim was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple injuries, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
Police closed two westbound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway near the scene for about two hours to investigate.
