Kauai man indicted for harassing pregnant monk seal

A Kauai grand jury on Wednesday indicted a 19-year-old Eleele man on a charge he harassed a pregnant Hawaiian monk seal at Salt Pond Beach.
Shylo K. Akuna is scheduled to be arraigned in Kauai Circuit Court on May 24 on charges of “take” of a monk seal, a term that means harassment or harm and disorderly conduct and a violation of county park rules.
A video posted on social media showed a man harassing a 17-year-old monk seal identified as RK30 on April 26. Several witnesses identified Akuna as the man in the video. He was arrested two days later.
Akuna posted $20,000 bail Thursday.
Sometime between May 2 and May 3, RK30 gave birth to her seventh pup on a remote beach on the Na Pali Coast.

So punching is called “harassing” now? If a psycho repeatedly punched a pregnant woman, it would just be “harassment”? I guess Hawaii is truly a haven for psycho lowlifes.

Note he was claiming to be a sovereign Hawaiian Citizen, not subject to the US law. Lucky we live in the good USA that has laws to protect both the human population and the environment.
I hope the court makes an example of this misfit.
Congratulations to RK30 on the successful birth of her pup in spite of this low-life, who was probably jealous that she bestowed her affections on a better partner. But studies have shown that juvenile cruelty and sadism to animals are predictors of the same behaviors towards humans later on in life. Put this aspiring monster away for a long time.

Why are the Native Hawaiians so privileged? If they have a bone to pick take it up with the Alii and their ancestors.They sold out. Where were they when their Queen needed their help?
