“Ask This Old House” — the PBS show that sends a home improvement and repair crew out on the road to make house calls — will be traveling to Hawaii this fall, and the show’s producers are inviting local homeowners to submit their questions.
“Our sister show ‘This Old House’ tackled a renovation in Honolulu more than 20 years ago, but this will be the first time that ‘Ask This Old House’ has visited Hawaii,” said senior producer and director Heath Racela in an email. “There are building challenges that come with living in paradise, and we are excited to show people all over the country how to tackle some of those projects.”
The “Ask This Old House” experts — host Kevin O’Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey and landscape contractor Roger Cook — will answer selected home improvement questions in an on-camera house call recorded for a show segment. Actual dates for the visits have not been set.
Racela said that even if homeowners’ projects are not chosen this season, their questions could still be answered on the television program, in This Old House magazine or online at thisoldhouse.com.
Questions can be submitted online at thisoldhouse.com/askaquestion.
