Dunkin’ Donuts returning to Hawaii
Aloha Petroleum Ltd. will open 15 new Dunkin’ Donuts locations on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii island, with the first spot to open in 2017.
“This new business venture will complement our existing retail offerings throughout the islands and help us diversify our portfolio,” said Aloha Petroleum President and CEO Richard Parry, in a statement.
“We are thrilled that Aloha Petroleum will be developing the brand throughout the Hawaiian Islands,” said Grant Benson, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin’ Brands.
The national chain previously had done business in Hawaii through a franchisee that shuttered its locations years ago.
In the fall, Dunkin’ Brands announced plans to close 100 stores, while it proceeded with plans to open other new locations. Dunkin’ Brands is also the parent company of Baskin-Robbins ice cream shops.
