Multiple people stabbed at Foodland in Wailuku; suspect arrested
Police are investigating after multiple people were stabbed Tuesday night at the Foodland Kehalani supermarket in Wailuku.
Maui police Lt. William Juan said an assault occurred at the store on Kehalani Village Drive and police have an adult suspect in custody.
Maui Fire Department spokesman Edward Taomoto said firefighters were called at 6:13 p.m. to treat multiple people injured in a stabbing. He could not say how many people were injured.
The Facebook page Maui 24/7 reported that three people were injured, including one critically.
