PICS: St. Patrick’s Day block party
1. Murphy’s held its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at an outdoor block party Thursday in Chinatown, drawing big crowds. The fun started at 11 a.m. with a Guinness oyster bar and libations. 3. The fifth annual Pink Tie Ball at the Royal Hawaiian hotel on Friday included a fashion show to raise money for breast cancer research, education and services, benefiting Susan G. Komen Hawaii. The event, which also honored Kapiolani Medical Center’s Dr. Angela Pratt, drew many supporters dressed in shades and accents of pink. Local designers Ari South and Kini Zamora were joined by guest designers Sean Kelly and Alexander Knox in presenting their latest fashions on the runway.
