Kayakers rescued off Napali Coast
Kauai firefighters rescued two visitors Friday afternoon after their kayak overturned off Nualolo Valley.
First reponders searched the area off Napali Coast around 3:18 p.m. after spotting an overturned kayak adrift.
A helicopter rescue crew saw a man and a woman waving for help near the beach at Nualolo.
The couple, from Seattle. told rescuers they were stranded in Nualolo for a few days due to the high surf. They said when they attempted to leave the area Friday, they lost their kayak in the water along with their belongings, according to the Kauai Fire Department.
The man and the woman were transported at Kee Beach and released at the scene.
No injuries were reported.

These dimwits have unquestionably proven their cluelessness by even attempting to kayak the Napali coast during high winter surf. I hope they learned a good lesson, even though their rescue costs Hawaii taxpayers.
