>> Let’s a-go-go: The creators of Eat the Street are at it again. Street Grindz begins its A-Go-Go series next month at the Makers & Tasters marketplace, 1011 Ala Moana Blvd., across from Ward Warehouse. The new themed series will be held every Thursday, offering a smaller amount of vendors for those who “don’t like dealing with the BIG crowds and long lines at the end of the month.” Thursday’s fare: RamenAGoGo. >> Ho‘omaika‘i at The Willows: The Willows is holding its annual Ho‘omaika‘i wedding and special events fair, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 4. The event, sponsored by KZOO Radio 1210AM, features a dinner buffet, live entertainment, wine tasting by Southern Wine and Spirits, a wedding fashion show and more. Donations of new or gently used formal attire will be taken for The Bella Project, a nonprofit agency that provides prom attire to low-income, special-needs and military high school students. >> New menu: Asuka Nabe + Shabu Shabu began offering a new menu this month. The restaurant, which welcomes BYOB, offers 16 handmade broths, 15 shabu shabu sets, six types of nabe and more than 60 side dishes. The eatery at 3620 Waialae Ave. is open from 5 to 10 p.m. daily for dinner (last seating is 9:45 p.m.) and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays for lunch. Reserve at 735-6666. New places to go
>> Ala Moana Center: The Ewa Wing at Ala Moana Center continues to grow with two more dining options for shoppers. Cafe Lani and Tempura Ichidai are still in their soft-opening phase with no grand-opening dates scheduled yet. Cafe Lani, on the second near Longs Drugs, is popular for the all-you-can-eat bread. It’s open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Tempura Ichidai, on the third floor of the new wing, features a tempura bar where chefs prepare the Japanese delicacy in a made-to-order form. The restaurant opens from 11 a.m to 10 p.m. daily. Both eateries are owned by Japanese-based group Pierthirty.
>> Calling all pizza lovers: Pieology is opening its custom pizzeria shop Sunday in the Aina Haina Shopping Center. The eatery touts artisan-style pizza. Sunday’s opening will begin with a Hawaiian blessing at 10:45 a.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. The 52-seat restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. The shopping center is at 820 W. Hind Drive.
>> Pearlridge Center: Plans for Agu Ramen to open in Pearlridge Center have been pushed back. Earlier reports noted that the chain was planning a March or April opening, but according to Fred Paine, general manager for Pearlridge Center, it looks like it will be a summer opening.
