Corrections
>> Each box jellyfish tentacle has 5 million toxic stinging cells, not 5,000 as indicated in a Page A1 graphic Wednesday.
>> A Page B1 photo Wednesday showed two Army soldiers searching near Kaena Point for Marine helicopter crash debris. The caption misidentified them as Marines.
>> The Hawaii Poll conducted in July 2015 found 70 percent of Oahu registered voters approved of Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s job performance, while 20 percent disapproved, and 10 percent said they did not know or refused to answer. A graphic on Page A10 Sunday showed the responses of all residents polled, not just registered voters as was indicated in the footnote.
Clarification
>> The proposed first phase of the “Innovation Block” project in Kakaako Makai will seek $3 million in state funding to complete a “sandbox” facility supporting start-up businesses. A Page E1 story Jan. 10 referenced a total cost estimate of $100 million, but this figure also comprises the private-sector share.
