A 21-year-old Ewa Beach man and a 19-year-old Kapolei woman pleaded not guilty in Honolulu District Court on Monday morning to charges they threatened two men in Kapolei on Friday afternoon in a drive-by shooting.
Kahamiokumoae Ahsing, 21, and Kiani K. Hayghe, 19, were charged Sunday with first-degree terroristic threatening. Ahsing also was charged with first-degree reckless endangering. Bail was set at $100,000 each.
Hayghe was driving a car while Ahsing fired several shots at a moving vehicle with two passengers, both 18, inside.
The pair was initially arrested early Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder in the first degree.
The suspects allegedly threatened the two men at 5:40 p.m. Friday near Ahsing’s Ewa Beach home.
City identifies pedestrian killed by car
The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 57-year-old Waianae woman who died after being struck by a car while walking on Farrington Highway as Charmaine Cagata.
Cagata was walking on Farrington Highway late at night Jan. 5 when she was hit by a car driven by a 29-year-old woman. The victim was taken in critical condition to a hospital and died Friday. The accident occurred near the KFC restaurant near Kaupuni Street.
