HPU cruises past Viterbo

In its final game of 2015, the Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team easily dispatched visiting Viterbo (Wis.) University 70-46. Connor Looney led the Sharks (6-4, 1-2 PacWest) with a game-high 17 points.

Leading 27-20 with 7:03 left in the first half, HPU shut down Viterbo (5-9, 2-2 North Star Athletic Association) defensively, holding it scoreless for the remainder of the period. The Sharks scored 14 during that time to build a 41-20 halftime lead.

The Sharks will return to action on Jan. 5, on the road against Fresno Pacific.
