Search finds no armed person at San Antonio campus
SAN ANTONIO >> A San Antonio university says authorities have found no suspect to support an initial report of an armed individual on campus.
In a statement, the University of the Incarnate Word said that multiple agencies searched the campus and surrounding area Tuesday evening but found no sign of an armed person.
The university said the all-clear was given at 7:34 p.m.
The university said that since no threat was confirmed, the campus was never in a lockdown situation.
Throughout the search, university officials say they encouraged those in the area to use caution and report suspicious activity.
The school is the largest Catholic university in Texas and has about 9,200 students.
