One of two sets of remains discovered by firefighters Oct. 7 while conducting training exercises near the Pali Lookout is that of a Waianae woman who disappeared along with her husband nearly two years ago.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains as that of Toby Crossman, who was 26 years old when reported missing. The couple were last seen Nov. 3, 2013 at their Waianae home.

A CrimeStoppers bulletin issued Nov. 6, 2013 said the Crossmans were emotionally distraught and family and friends expressed concern for their safety and well being. Toby Crossman’s husband, Carl Crossman was 33 years old when reported missing.

A cause of Toby Crossman’s death has not yet been determined.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet identified the second set of remains.
