Assault case opened after report of gunshots near Waikiki
Honolulu police have opened a third-degree assault and reckless endangerment case after a 24-year-old woman was injured early this morning near the Hawaii Convention Center.
Police said it appears a woman suffered minor injuries consistent with an assault just before 4 a.m.
Police said witnesses reported gunshots around the same time, but weren’t sure if they were related to the assault incident.
