Work furlough inmate fails to return to OCCC from furlough pass
Honolulu police and state sheriffs are looking for a work furlough program inmate who failed to return as scheduled from a furlough pass on Saturday.
Frederick Asentista, 58, was on a job-seeking pass and was supposed to have returned to the Oahu Community Correctional Center by 5:30 p.m.
Asentista was serving tie for second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug. Second-degree escape is expected to be added to his charges. His next parole hearing was scheduled for February.
Asentista is classified as community custody, which is the lowest custody level. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 159 pounds with brown eyes and a balding head.
Anyone with information about Asentista’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
