Alleged gambling machines seized from market where shooting had occurred
Officers from the police Narcotics-Vice Division seized alleged gambling machines Thursday from a Palolo Valley market.
Honolulu Police Department spokeswoman Michelle Yu said the officers made the seizure Thursday afternoon from the New Valley Store, but no one was arrested.
The market is the scene of a June 20 robbery attempt and the fatal shooting of Keni Pologa, 44, who reportedly provided security for the store’s new owner.
An Oahu grand jury indicted Wednesday Wilbur Gutierrez, 43, on charges of second-degree murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a permit.
Anyone with information on gambling or drug activity is asked to call Narcotics-Vice Division at the 24-hour line at 723-3933.
