1. Heineken thanked customers and supporters in Hawaii with a free concert at the Waikiki Shell on Saturday featuring Local Natives, Kawehi and Shugo Tokumaru. 2. Bombay Sapphire welcomed six of Hawaii’s top mixologists to The Republik on Sunday for the local regional finals of the 2015 Most Imaginative Bartender competition. The Manifest’s Jarrod Fread and his cocktail, Eyes Wide, took top honors, earning him a trip to Las Vegas to take part in Bombay Sapphire’s national competition later this year. 3. First Hawaiian Bank hosted a pau hana for VIP guests at the Honolulu Museum of Art on July 17. Among those in attendance were first round NFL draft pick Marcus Mariota, pictured with local fashion designer Ari South, and Maui-based waterman Kai Lenny. 4. A fashion show produced by Kini Zamora kicked off Goodwill Goes GLAM! at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall on July 16. All clothing and accessories showcased were items found in Goodwill Hawaii stores; sales of 40,000 pieces pulled from Goodwill stores, garments, jewelry and accessories were available for sale as well last weekend. 5. Honolulu’s LGBT community has a new place to party in Chinatown with the opening of Scarlet Honolulu on Pauahi Street. The new gay club’s co-owners Lanai Tabura, left, and Traver Rains, right, posed for a photo with special guest Richie Rich on July 17; a blessing of the club followed on Saturday and it will be open to the 21-and-over crowd starting this weekend.
