Arm found at bridge near where legs previously found
NEW HAVEN, Conn. » A human arm has been found in Connecticut near where a pair of legs was found earlier.
New Haven police say they found what appears to be at least one arm Wednesday night inside a plastic bag on a ledge below a bridge.
Officer David Hartman says police don’t known if the remains are related but forensic examiners and a cadaver dog are returning to the area.
Hartman says the legs were found Wednesday morning in thick foliage along the fence line near a railroad station. A man had led an officer to that scene, about a block from the bridge.
The state medical examiner will try to determine the age, gender and race of the person or people whose remains were found.
Police are checking missing-person reports.
