LAS VEGAS » Authorities are identifying a swimmer whose body was recovered from a Colorado River reservoir as an 18-year-old who grew up in Hawaii before moving to Las Vegas.

The Clark County coroner reported Friday that Jameson Kawika Pasigan died Thursday afternoon near Nelson’s Landing, a popular Lake Mohave cliff jumping site,

The coroner says a ruling on the cause and manner of Pasigan’s death will take several weeks, pending toxicology test results.

Las Vegas police divers recovered Pasigan’s body after friends reported him missing beneath choppy waves a little before 4 p.m.
