Man, child rescued off Makua
Lifeguards rescued a man and child Monday morning from roughly 300 yards offshore of a Makua beach.
The rescue happened at around 10:15 a.m. at the area known as “Pray For Sex Beach,” about 1/2 mile north of Makua Cave.
None of the swimmers needed medical treatment, Emergency Medical Services said.
