Alleged 8-minute escape results in a charge
A 26-year-old man who fled from police briefly was charged Friday with second-degree escape.
Antonio Belen was in custody at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Wahiawa when he fled from police. Police caught Belen eight minutes later.
He was arrested at 7:23 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree escape, a Class C felony. His bail amount is $35,000,
