Hawaii sand volleyball team stays at No. 2
The Hawaii women’s sand volleyball team remained at No. 2 in the AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball Poll released Tuesday.
The SandBows (12-1) are behind USC (19-0), the only team to defeat Hawaii this season.
The top 10 remained the same with Florida International (18-1) at No. 3, defending champion Pepperdine (10-4) at No. 4 and Florida State (13-4) at No. 5. Rounding out the Top 10 are Long Beach State (10-4), Georgia State (18-1), UCLA (8-1), Stetson (18-3) and Arizona (13-1).
Hawaii finishes out its home season with its Sand Showcase Saturday and the Outrigger Resorts Invitational. Both events are at the T.C. Ching courts and will include Grand Canyon, Hawaii Pacific and San Jose State.
The SandBows will honor their three seniors after Sunday’s final match. Playing their final home match are All-American Brittany Tiegs, Sammie Brown and Olivia Urban.
