Honolulu among healthiest U.S. cities
Five factors figured in to finding Honolulu the eighth-healthiest city in the U.S., according to Livability.com.
The healthiest city in the U.S., according to the website’s analysts, was Minneapolis, Minn., followed by No. 2, Cambridge, Mass., Madison, Wis., Miami, Fla., and No. 5, Bridgeport, Conn.
Also ahead of Honolulu are sixth-ranked Arlington, Va., and Santa Ana, Calif.
Fort Collins, Colo. ranked ninth, and Yonkers, N.Y. rounded out the top 10.
Analysts for the website reviewed aspects they view as crucial to livability including "walkability," cultural amenities, transportation, urban planning and sustainability.
