Maui man dies from injuries sustained in moped crash
A 56-year-old Kahului man died Wednesday at Maui Memorial Medical Center from injuries sustained Friday in a crash.
At 12:32 p.m. Friday, Richard J. Organiscak was making a left turn with his moped from an exit of 349 Hanakai St. in Kahului and collided with a white 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
This is Maui County’s second traffic fatality for the year as compared with three at this time last year.
