Man critically injured after being struck by car on Kapahulu Ave.
A 65-year-old Honolulu man was in critical condition Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle in Waikiki, police said.
The man was walking in a marked crosswalk on Kapahulu Avenue, south of Lemon Road, when he was hit about 12:55 a.m.
The driver, a 59-year-old Kailua man, was heading north-bound at the time of the crash.
Police closed the north-bound lanes of Kapahulu Avenue for about three hours to investigate.
