Jeff Ruddy, left, Ron Klapperich, Christian Young and Christopher Novak pulled a discarded shopping cart from the hillside. The volunteers removed more than 2,300 pounds of rubbish along a 100-yard stretch of road. Also found were a suitcase, a “no parking” sign, a Christmas tree, a fire extinguisher and a keyboard.
