Student’s design selected to represent West Oahu
Humanities student Ken Tom created the winning T-shirt design for the University of Hawaii-West Oahu Bookstore’s "West Is Best" contest. His design won the most votes during an online poll in the fall.
Tom, a Leilehua High School graduate, researched typography and sought feedback from family and friends before submitting his design, which won him the first "West Is Best" T-shirt off the press and a $100 UH Bookstore gift card.
"West Is Best" T-shirts are $15 at the UH West Oahu Bookstore and online at www.bookstore.hawaii.edu/westoahu. UH students will pay $10 for their first "West Is Best" shirt.
All proceeds from UH Bookstores purchases support the university.
