» The performance of "Kiyotsune," a Japanese Noh drama, will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Orvis Auditorium, not Friday as reported in a Page 2 story of this edition’s TGIF section.
Clarifications
» In Wednesday’s "Island Voices" on Page A11, Gladys Quinto Marrone stated that Koa Ridge took 12 years to go through the Land Use Commission. She clarified Thursday: The LUC did approve that project three times; the delays were, and still are being, caused by litigation by third parties. These delays add time and expense to projects, which was not the intent of the LUC process, and could be a contributing factor to the shortage of housing today.
» The combination of Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union and Pacific Island Energy Federal Credit Union is being classified by the financial institutions as a merger. A business brief on Page B6 Wednesday said Hawaii Central was buying Energy Federal. The merger was effective Monday.
