Waikiki drowning victim was a Japanese tourist
The Medical Examiner’s office had identified the 49-year-old Japanese tourist who drowned in the ocean off Waikiki Beach Sunday as Michiyo Orihara.
The body of Orihara, who was from Saitama- a prefecture 18 miles north of Tokyo, was found floating in the water at 2100 Kalakaua Ave., according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
