Westbound lanes on the H-1 freeway airport viaduct will be closed this weekend as viaduct improvements continue with deck repairs, the state Department of Transportation warns.
Right lanes will be closed in the westbound direction from the Keehi Interchange to the viaduct off-ramp (Exit 16) from 9 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday. Work took place last weekend on eastbound lanes.
All ramps to and from the airport will remain open.
Right lanes also will be closed on Nimitz Highway westbound from 9 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday between Kakoi Street and Peltier Avenue, as a precaution due to the hydro-demolition work taking place on the deck above.
Speed limits are reduced to 15 mph in the work areas.
Updated lane-closure information is available on the state Department of Transportation website at hidot.hawaii.gov, and will be released on Facebook and Twitter (#hitraffic and #WZAM).
