Feeling more sloppy than stylish lately? I don’t blame you. Hot weather leads more to perspiration than inspiration, and it seems so much easier to reach into the back of your drawers for those threadbare (and therefore lightweight) T-shirts and cutoffs.
But comfort and style are not mutually exclusive, and the start of summer doesn’t mean taking a three-month pass on looking cute. With a little bit of effort, people will have their eyes on you while you’re watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Here are a few outfits from Ala Moana Center, which is hosting one of the biggest free fireworks displays beginning at 8:30 p.m. Friday. The fireworks will be launched from three platforms at Ala Moana Beach Park. Tune in to FM 92.3 KSSK for a live soundtrack that accompanies the pyrotechnics.
