Kalihi man charged with assaulting woman
Prosecutors charged a 30-year-old Kalihi man Tuesday for assaulting a 28-year-old woman Tuesday morning in Kalihi.
Police said Fagaloa Faateleupu allegedly assaulted the woman with a dangerous instrument.
He was initially arrested on suspicion of felony abuse of a family member, but was charged with second-degree assault due to the severity of the injuries. Faateleupu’s bail was set at $20,000.
