The Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot restaurant chain will open its first Hawaii location this week at Ward Centre and is among five new tenants coming to Ward Centers in the coming months.
Little Sheep, above Bed Bath & Beyond, will stage its grand opening at 6:30 p.m. Friday offering family-style, made-to-share menu items, incorporating diners’ choices of soup bases, meats, vegetables and house-made noodles, which diners then cook at the hot-pot fitted tables, nabe style.
Following the grand opening, the restaurant’s hours of operation will be 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sundays.
Local institution Waiola Shave Ice will open its third Oahu location this month at Ward Warehouse, next to the As Seen on TV store. Among other treats, the shop will offer shave ice created with its homemade syrups and specialties from Kay’s Crackseed in Manoa Marketplace.
The Monarch Tea Room also will open in May, within Na Mea Hawaii/Native Books at Ward Warehouse. It will serve sandwiches, locally made pastries and other food items along with beverages including teas from around the world.
Ward Warehouse also will be the new home for Big Island Delights, which will relocate from Ward Centre over the summer. The Hilo-based company has offered its cookies, including varieties studded with Hawaii-grown macadamia nuts, since 1997.
Honolulu-based Jeans Warehouse Inc. will open a new store called And More … By Local Fever in the former Nordstrom Rack space next to Office Depot.
It will be the company’s largest store.
The more than 20,000-square-foot space will include more than 15 departments of clothing, fashion, home and kitchen accessories, bedding and men’s apparel, and is slated to open in June.
