Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who robbed a 44-year-old Hilo man at the Liliuokalani Gardens in Hilo Monday night.

Police said a man punched the victim and took his backpack at 8:40 p.m. Monday.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and wearing slippers.

He was last seen heading south on Lihiwai Street in a dark blue, older model, Honda CRV.
