Kevin Swick had two hits and scored three runs for Southern California, which scored four times in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull away for a 10-4 win over Hawaii in a nonconference game on Tuesday evening at Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles.

The Rainbow Warriors (15-22) strung together three consecutive two-out hits in the top of the eighth inning to load the bases trailing 6-4. USC (21-17) brought in closer Kyle Davis, who struck out Kaeo Aliviado to end the inning.

Davis finished the ninth to earn his fourth save for USC, which has won six in a row. Hawaii has lost nine of 10 since winning a series at UC Santa Barbara.

USC scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth off UH sophomore LJ Brewster, who was one of eight pitchers Hawaii coach Mike Trapasso used in the game.

Stephen Ventimilia set a career-high with four hits and two runs scored and Aliviado went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Austin Wobrock was 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Hawaii finished with 13 hits.

Hawaii will complete its seven-game road trip with a series at Cal State Fullerton beginning on Friday.
