A man and a woman were allegedly assaulted and threatened with a knife early Sunday morning by a family member who broke into their Honolulu area home, police said. 

The 27-year-old woman and her 26-year-old boyfriend told police a 37-year-old man entered their home around 1:18 a.m. and assaulted them. 

The man also threatened them with a knife, police said. He was arrested at his Vineyard Boulevard residence about 10 minutes later on suspicion of abuse of a family member, third-degree assault, and two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, according to police records.
