"Cooking Hawaiian Style," a show featuring local celebrities showing off their kitchen chops, launched its second season Monday on Oceanic Time Warner’s OC16.

The show, which airs 7:30 p.m. Mondays, is hosted by comedian and radio personality Lanai Tabura.

On the lineup: "Popo’s Kitchen" cookbook author June Tong (Monday), chef Ippy Aiona (April 21), TV journalist Malika Dudley (April 28), chef Adam Tabura (May 5), singer Melveen Leed (May 12), chef George "Mavro" Mavrothalassitis (May 19), Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa (May 26) and hog farmer Glenn Shinsato (June 2).

Singer Raiatea Helm opened the season this week; her episode repeats as do all episodes noon Wednesday, 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, midnight Friday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday; all episodes also air 1:30 a.m. Tuesdays. The entire season repeats through Sept. 29.

The show has its origins on the popular local-recipe website of the same name created by Hawaii expat Frank Abraham. Abraham produces the show.

Host Tabura was part of the Aloha Plate Food Truck team that won last season’s "Great Food Truck Race" on Food Network.
