Hawaii Bookmarks owner and artisan Jeff Gomes stands in front of the ohe kapala installation at the renovated Sheraton Kona resort. The 16-foot-tall pieces, as well as the 9-by-3-foot lamp behind the check-in desk, were designed by Sig Zane and made by Gomes using ohia wood.
