Melt reappears 2 days at Taste
Attention grilled cheese lovers: The beloved Melt will return 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today and Friday at Taste to give fans a chance to partake its luscious sandwiches once more.
The Kakaako food space at 667 Auahi St. will host chef Lindsey Ozawa, who headed up the food truck, alongside chef Kevin Lee, his partner at Prima, the popular Kailua restaurant.
New Year event offers rare teas
Saint Louis School celebrates the Lunar New Year with a tea festival, 5 p.m. Jan. 31 at Mamiya Theatre.
Hong Kong-based tea master Andrew Lau, an alumnus of the school, will speak about the history and culture of tea, its preparation and storage, and Chinese tea classifications. He will also offer several rare varieties for tasting.
Dinner will follow, showcasing four rare teas, including a 20-year-old dark pu-erh.
Cost is $25 for the seminar and tasting. Dinner is $100, to be held in the Clarence T.C. Ching Learning & Technology Center. Proceeds benefit the school.

Luau celebrates Lunalilo’s birth
Celebrate the 179th anniversary of King William Charles Lunalilo’s birth with a traditional luau, 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1 at Lunalilo Home.
The annual benefit for the elder-care home also will honor Roy Benham, Oswald Stender and the Queen’s Health System, the first awardees of the King Lunalilo Malama Kupuna Award.
Hoku Zuttermeister and Natalie Ai Kamauu entertain.
