Korea’s latest action-packed thriller, "The Suspect," opens in Hawaii on Friday. The film opened on Christmas Eve in Korea, and more than 1.8 million tickets have been sold. Check your local listings for showtimes.
This synopsis was provided by the film’s distributor, Showbox: Dong-chul (Gong Yoo) was the best special field agent in North Korea but is abandoned by his government during a mission. While on the run, he looks for his wife and child, who were sold as slaves to China, only to discover their corpses. He soon finds out that his colleague was behind the killing and defects to the South in search of his nemesis. He looks for him during the day and works as a temp driver at night and as a personal driver for Chairman Park. One night the chairman is attacked and killed by an assassin, but not before handing over a pair of glasses to Dong-chul. He is now on the run again, accused of the chairman’s murder by the intelligence service, while trying to uncover the secret contained inside the glasses. The secret could become either a national threat or treasure, depending on who ultimately gains control of it.

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Emotions are high in the love triangle linking Soo-hyeok, Moo-yeol and Yoo-jung. Soo-hyeok asks his father for the task of destroying Chowon farm. Yoo-jung falls sick after her ordeal and starts burning up. Moo-yeol rushes to take her to the hospital. Nan-cho tells Eun-sook’s mother and sister where she’s working. Both rush over to the cafe, only to witness Eun-sook being harassed by three strange men. She thought she had no choice but to quit, until she overhears a conversation between Nan-cho and one of the men who harassed her.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Eun-sook wants Nan-cho to leave her alone, but Nan-cho won’t. So Eun-sook decides to shake things up a bit by insinuating to Moon-do that she might still have feelings for him. Soo-hyeok comes up with a plan to build a golf course behind Chowon farm. This would destroy the farm. Yoo-jung asks Soo-hyeok to try to stop this project, but she finds out that he’s actually in charge of it. Soo-hyeok tells her that if she comes to him, he’ll stop the project.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Eun-jin gives Mi-kyung a bracelet as a present. When Mi-kyung asks Eun-jin if everything’s going well in her life, Eun-jin tearfully says her life is a living hell. Jae-hak finds a black box in his car after a car accident.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Sung-soo promises to be a changed man and plans to take Eun-jin and Yoon-jung on a trip. Jae-hak tells Eun-jin that his wife found out about his affair, and Eun-jin tells him she’ll tell her husband everything, too.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jae-ho tells Tan that Chairman Kim is planning to send Eun-sang abroad. Tan finds Eun-sang and finds a plane ticket in her book. Chairman Kim tells Won that he’ll hold an emergency shareholders meeting to terminate Won from his position and replace him with Jae-ho.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Tan and Young-do do everything they can to find Eun-sang, who’s disappeared. Tan finds Eun-sang but can’t show himself to her. Young-do also finds Eun-sang, but it only scares Eun-sang that Chairman Kim will find her in no time. Tan goes out of control from losing Eun-sang.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Joon-goo tells Dami to announce her wedding plans and retire from the entertainment business. But Dami refuses, saying she has to support her family. Tae-won is worried about Eun-soo, who’s decided to give up custody of Seul-gi.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m: Dami holds a press conference to announce her wedding plans. Joon-goo’s family learns of Dami’s upcoming wedding on TV. Feeling pressured by Chae-rin, Tae-won tells her he has no feelings for her.
